Poor service
I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. Sent my niece sunflowers for her birthday. I later discovered they use Yodel for delivery. True to form flowers arrived at depot 7.15 am. Went out for delivery at noon and were then driven around the local area on a hot day and finally deposited on her doorstep (without knocking) at 6.30. later discovered purely by chance. They arrived extremely floppy and despite attempts to revive them the next day look a very sad gift. What condition they started out in I will never know but I won't be using Waitrose again.

Disappointing Peonies
The window for buying peonies is short compared to other variety of flowers
They have appeared in Waitrose stores and little Waitrose petrol stations in the last few weeks
Bunches start at £10 this season for 5 heads , a bigger bunch at £20 and even larger bunches.
Having used the food provided to enhance life and cut the stems at a angle I have been disappointed with them
M first bunch heads never opened at all
Just went brown
Second bunch woke to find all five heads either hanging from their stem or completely detached from the stem and splogged on the table
On Thursday I brought a third bunch , this time white peonies and they had slightly more open heads , so feeling more optimistic . This morning with the exception of one bloom the other four have shed their heads all over the table .that’s not even five days life
Not the cheapest of blooms and this season so far extremely disappointing

Want flowers? Don't use Waitrose!
Waitrose are letting John Lewis Partnership down. I ordered flowers from them for my wife on our anniversary last year with a bottle of champagne, flowers with cava turned up. This year for my wife's birthday I ordered flowers again, thinking they must've got their act together. Wrong! Flowers did not arrive in the time slot 7am-9pm. When I called customer services they said flowers were with the courier, Yodel, and would be delivered the next day. It's now 1.30pm and still no flowers. I WILL NEVER USE WAITROSE and NEVER USE ANY COMPANY THAT CONTRACT YODEL FOR DELIVERIES. They are simply not up to the task of next day delivery.

Mothering Sunday Flowers.......
We ordered a bouquet for Mother's Day which was delivered to our 98 year old Mum the day prior to Mothering Sunday as we requested (£40 for flowers & £5 delivery). When we visited her on the Sunday, we were appalled to find the what had been delivered the day before. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. We took photos & contacted Waitrose by telephone to make a complaint, without me asking....the Waitrose operative automatically issued a Refund. I explained that I was not seeking a Refund, but wanted replacement flowers to be sent out - he said that was not possible & I would have to re-order another bouquet online. I said I was not happy with that & to transfer me to someone who could arrange a replacement. He put me through to Customer Service & I explained the situation again. I was asked to send copies of the photos, which I did & in short it was agreed that they were not of an acceptable standard. They arranged to send a replacement set - when they arrived, they were a bunch of 10 roses which were all open. They lasted 2 days before withering in the vase. We will never order flowers through Waitrose again, as this is not the first time this has happened.

Beautiful flowers and chocolates
I saw many bad reviews only after I ordered so I was scared but actually the flowers arrived totally fine. I ordered "Pretty Patchwork Bouquet" and they were so beautiful, made my friend very happy. The chocolate I added looks great too.

Delivered flowers to the wrong address
Delivered flowers to the wrong address, needless to say it became my problem to sort it out, Waitrose taking no responsibility for their error, to date this is unresolved. Never again.

Dreadful half dead flowers
Dreadful. £40 spent on flowers that were completely different to the order. Also damaged. Flowers well past their best and resembled something more like a £1 bunch in a reduced section. Cannot begin to explain how poor this is. A real shame there is no ability to attach pictures of what I ordered against what I received. Absolutely shocking.

An awful 'bouquet', terrible value and flowers dying same day!
A birthday gift from my husband - seasonal spring bouquet, at £28 for 4 roses, 2 irises a couple of freesias and some greenery - poor value for money. Made catastrophic when one of the roses drooped on the day of arrival (I was in for delivery and did the stalk trimming immediately, so no excuses). Another drooped the following day, and the 2nd day a third one drooped and one of the droopy ones head fell off completely. Left with one open iris, one rose, one open freesia, the other iris and freesias don't look like they'll bother. Never ever again. They have given my husband his money back, but that's not really the point is it, these things are usually gifts, and this spoils it.

£55 O'Hara roses not scented as advertised, dying on arrival
Ordered a WaitroseOne bunch of O'Hara roses mixed with other flowers/foliage for Mother's Day, £55 for the bunch. The flowers were dying on arrival and never recovered. They were also not scented as advertised - something you pay a premium for. Had I known Yodel would be the courier, I would have passed on ordering from Waitrose Florist. Silly me thought that these would be delivered in refrigerated Waitrose vans. The local service station offers much fresher options, so will choose from there next year!

What a mess…that just gets worse!
I have just emailed Waitrose florist attaching 4 photos showing a delivery my wife received today.
You can clearly see the plant holder is on its side, some of the plants have come out,and there is a considerable amount of soil at the bottom of the box.
These were a gift and I have asked Waitrose to replace. Given what I’ve read here I’m not holding my breath!
Why do Waitrose use such dreadful couriers?
UPDATE
After contacting Waitrose I was initially impressed when they ‘held their hands up’, apologised, and arranged a replacement.
Unfortunately the replacement was almost as bad - plants dislodged and soil fallen out, etc. I sent another set of photos to Waitrose suggesting they review their couriers (I assume they leave the supplier in good condition)! Meanwhile from the two damaged planters we’ve made one acceptable one. Given our experience I can’t believe we’re the only people having this issue…..
I’m not sure what happened to the John Lewis partnership recently. Leaving aside the florist I’ve had very poor service from the finance/insurance contacts recently where they seem to have changed insurer from one that provided excellent service to one that certainly failed me (they are about to loose a loyal, claim free customer of many years).

Very disappointed on behalf of my daughter
Wouldn't even give the flowers one star if it were possible to write this review without it! My experience was similar to the others who took the time to write about theirs.
My daughter arranged for flowers to be delived owing to being unable to bring them herself - I was initially excited to receive the box but on opening the bunch immediately started to drop petals and the leaves looked very wilted and definitely not fresh. I took photos as soon as I put them in the vase and then took other photos on the subsequent days. My daughter was very upset to know that the flowers were well below the expectations of a company such as Waitrose and has since contacted them to complain. After not hearing anything for 4 days (after contacting them several times by phone and email) she was told that from the initial photo she sent of the flowers they looked fine and asked for more photos of proof that they were below par, I am so glad that I decided to photo the dismal progression of the 'mild bunch'
She is now waiting to hear back but we are not holding our breaths'
Obviously not fans of Waitrose flowers!

Awful flowers for Mothering Sunday
Flowers delivered on Mothering Sunday, completely dead by Friday. Don't their florists know Tulips should never be mixed with other flowers. On arrival several rose buds dead, the rest drooping. Stock had dead brown petals at the bases. Heard the same from other customers about tulips killing their companions. What a waste of our childrens money.
